Papa Mali & The Instagators is an Austin-based southern fried funk band.
They're gigging in support of the Papa Mali & The Instagators debut CD Thunder Chicken. Many of the bandmembers are veterans of the vital Austin music scene, and are constantly gigging with their various projects. Key members can be found most Sundays in Austin playing a Sunday gospel brunch under the name The Imperial Golden Crown Harmonizers (click here for a cool article on this side project). The venue changes from time to time, so check local weeklies. It's a charity event that benefits very worthy local community grassroots organizations - and besides that, it's a groovy good time... stop on by! |
